PLEASE HELP!! I need to convert!!?

I am doing a correlational study and need to convert correlations to z via Fisher's r (rho) to z test. I have no idea how to compute this statistic (has to be done by hand I ume) but am worried if I use chi-squared testing, resutls will fail to reject the null hypothesis. Any input is greatly appreciated.
