What are some community service jobs for a freshman?

i need to get some community service hours in before this monday so what are some jobs that I can just show up and do? lke the library, which I will be helping out today but tomorrow they are mostly closed, so what jobs can i just show up and do? can i volunteer at a shelter or I've heard you need to be 16?
