Why can't evolution be a method of creationism?

Who is to say that evolution isn't the method God utilizes? The Bible is rather vague the effect of time on God. It says everything was made in 6 days, yet a blink of an eye is but an eternity. Why can't we both be right and realize that perhaps the scientific answers to questions are actually the method of the Big Man Upstairs?
